- 1 lb firm white fish (cod, halibut, or snapper), cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 bell peppers (1 red, 1 yellow), thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (13.5 oz) can full-fat coconut milk
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, plus more for garnish
- 2 tbsp dendê oil (red palm oil), optional but recommended
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
- Season fish and shrimp with salt, pepper, and half the lime juice. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil and dendê oil (if using) in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
- Add onion and bell peppers; cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add diced tomatoes and coconut milk. Bring to a simmer.
- Gently add fish and shrimp to the simmering liquid. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until seafood is cooked through.
- Stir in fresh cilantro and remaining lime juice. Taste and adjust seasoning.
- Serve hot with fluffy white rice and extra cilantro.
